My name is Chris Hennigan, and I am proud to announce my candidacy for the District 7 County Council seat. I am a lifelong resident of Horry County-specifically District 7, by way of Bucksport, South Carolina. I have served 10 years on the Planning and Zoning Commission-where I listened, learned and made decisions that didn't just affect me, but impacted the lives of people across Horry County. If elected, I will be a voice for the people of District 7-not just in words, but in action. I will be present, accessible, committed to making sure that every decision is made with the community in mind. This role is about service-not status. I need your support, your voice, and your vote. When I look at the future of our county, I see so much potential, but we have to manage our growth responsibly. If you elect me, my focus will be on the practical things that make our community strong and safe. First, we need to invest in better infrastructure so our systems can actually handle our growth. Second, we must focus on creating more job opportunities right here in our community, so our residents can thrive. And finally, we have to tackle our flooding issues head-on to protect our homes and neighborhoods. This is about working together to build a secure, prosperous future for all of us, and I am ready to fight for these essential improvements every single day.
